Intense Pulsed Light

IPL is commonly referred to as LASER because the results are similar and LASER has been around longer so it's more of a familiar term. LASER is an acronym that stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation, IPL is Intense Pulsed light.

IPL is typically a more comfortable appointment with less pain involved than laser.

IPL's main function is targeting and destroying Melanocytes (dark pigment) without damaging surrounding tissues and skin. This treatment is incredibly effective in removing dark hair and skin pigmentation such as freckles, age spots, & sun spots. IPL is not suitable for removing or reducing light or white hair.
